Zara kimono.

I saw this kimono piece in Zara last week. I thought about grabbing it but hesitated, I now wish I hadn't. I like how she's wearing it here, the short summer dress is the perfect pairing.

Dusty pink.

I love this color, especially up against the black leather. The whole look is killer.

New shades.

While visiting New York over the long weekend I was pleased to finally find some new shades. My Ray Bans were getting tired.  I found this pair of Raen's at the store Saturdays on Crosby street. It's a guys shop, but if you're like me and often find yourself in the men's section then you can find some pretty cool stuff, as well as a good coffee. I've been searching for a more round lens but was wary of the John Lennon look. I thought these were the perfect balance of contemporary and classic.

Zara's May lookbook is showcasing a great combination of fantastic minimal and eye-popping pieces. My favorites from the bunch are the Proenza Schouler inspired pants in the first shot, the perfectly simple beige jacket that follows and that killer gold skirt above.

Vintage Club.

During my early teen years I thought Club Monaco's classic sweatshirt was possibly the coolest item of clothing ever. They re-released their classic sweatshirt awhile back but I missed the boat on it. I am hoping I can scoop one up on the second hand scene.

The white blazer is the perfect backdrop for her fantastic accessories. She must have watched the turband tutorial.

Turband tutorial.

I thought this was such a cute and helpful little tutorial. I have yet to rock the turband look but at least now I'll know how to do it right.

Shawl.

I want a shawl. I haven't really been a fan of the look before but she is definitely selling me on it. I am also really loving the knotted t-shirt. I have a few oversized vintage ones that could use this trick.

J'adore.

So french and so gorgeous. The headband is fantastic. I love the black and white stripes against the red.
